Behind the Painting
Caballero Faith was created from my love for my Abba Father and my desire to hide His Word in my heart. Psalm 121:1–2 anchors this painting: I lift my eyes toward the hills and remember that my help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
I chose a caballero because he represents strength and perseverance—a man riding through a long journey and continuing forward with faith. The cathedral connects the piece to my Mexican culture and the spiritual heritage I carry.
His beautiful zarape represents strength, courage, and a can-do spirit. It is a reminder that even when the road is long, faith gives us the courage to keep going.
