Behind the Painting
I began playing the violin in fifth grade when I was eleven years old. Music became part of my story, but I stopped playing regularly when I was eighteen. Over the years, I have picked it up from time to time—including playing publicly during praise and worship—and the desire to play again has never completely left me.
Dream Big represents that unfinished dream. Its colors, movement, violin, and musical symbols express what returning to music feels like within me: hopeful, emotional, uncertain, and still alive. This painting reminds me that the dreams God places inside us may become quiet for a season, but they do not have to disappear.
