THE VERSE THAT EMPOWERS TÍA CAT • EXODUS 31
“I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills.”

This verse inspires Tía Cat’s belief that creativity, craftsmanship, wisdom, and skilled work can awaken purpose in a young person’s life.

THE ACADEMY VISION

Connecting gifts to possibility.

Makers & Artists

Visual art, storytelling, writing, design, culture, and creative expression.

Builders & Doers

Hands-on projects, practical skills, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving.

Purpose & Confidence

Mentorship that helps youth recognize their strengths, build character, and imagine a future they can help create.

EVERY STORY MATTERS • EVERY GIFT HAS PURPOSE

For youth who need a new pathway—and youth ready to build one.

Achievement Connections is envisioned for young people considered at risk as well as those simply seeking creative, technical, or entrepreneurial skills. We will meet youth with dignity, high expectations, belonging, and room to discover what they can do.

NOW SEEKING FOUNDING ADVISORS

Founding Advisory Circle

We are seeking emotionally intelligent, compassionate leaders to join our volunteer Founding Advisory Circle. Bring your experience as an educator, artist, maker, builder, mentor, business professional, or community connector to help Tía Cat shape Achievement Connections.

This first circle will listen, reflect, advise, connect, challenge, and help turn a meaningful vision into a thoughtful, sustainable program. It is an advisory invitation—not yet a governing-board appointment.

We are looking for people who:

  • Believe young people carry gifts worth discovering and developing
  • Bring wisdom in youth development, education, creative arts, trades, business, operations, or community building
  • Share a heart for service, integrity, creativity, belonging, and possibility
  • Are comfortable working with and supporting faith-based programs, respect our Christian faith foundation, and welcome youth and collaborators from varied backgrounds
  • Listen with empathy, recognize their own emotions, and respond thoughtfully under pressure
  • Communicate respectfully, receive feedback with humility, and navigate disagreements with maturity
  • Follow through on commitments and contribute time, honest counsel, relationships, or practical resources
  • Want to help build the program and grow alongside its vision
